Finding Myself
“Whenever I think back to my time at BYT, I get overwhelmed with memories of playing capture the flag as a day camper and then eventually as a counselor, creating intricate makeup designs for the mainstage, being BYT’s shortest little Tinman, and everything in between. Because of BYT, I found my love for everything theatrical, my love for music, and most importantly, I found myself. I found myself and I found a place that I will always be able to call home, because home is exactly what BYT feels like to me.” -Aaron L.
Growing Up
“BYT was the key part of my childhood. It gave me friends and experiences that I will value for the rest of my life. I believe I am a better person because of it. The people who work there create a fun and loving environment for the kids there to grow and learn through theatre without fear. I have included a photo of me during one of my first shows where I had no idea I would continue doing shows all the way through high school, become part of the teen board, and spend many weekends volunteering there as much as I could.” -Natalie N.
